Can I take the feed locally where the ashtray light is? Rather than the end of the dash, as mentioned on the other thread.

No doubt the dash needs to come out :roll:

Just to be clear StevebeechTA, you installed 2 full sets of lights? One from the interior light, down form the pillar to the footwell that come on and fade out when you unlock/lock. Then another fed from the ashtray directly into the footwell.

Does that mean when you unlock the car, both sets come on? Then the ones linked to the interior light fade out and switch off, while the ones linked to the ashtray stay on. Is the footwell very bright when you get in then? As both sets are on?
